The STRI Australia laboratory is recognised as one of the leaders in the industry in the evaluation of rootzone media for sports turf construction projects and landscaping projects
Our technical team specialises in identifying, managing and minimising pathogens and pests in your sports turf.
We conduct independent testing from our Melbourne based laboratory with the aim to determine performance and suitability of materials to be used on a site or project. We can test all materials associated with the project to ensure they meet the highest form of quality control. Importantly, our lab testing provides the information we need to make recommendations for alterations to things like blend ratios and design specifications.
Some of the key services we provide from our lab include
- Agronomic soil nutrient, leaf tissue & water (irrigation suitability) analysis, recommendations and reporting
- Suitability testing of construction sands & soils for sporting surfaces
- Compliance testing to AS-4419, Melbourne Water, Vic Roads & client-provided specifications
- Disease and pest identification & nematode testing, reporting and recommendations
The Metropolitan Golf Club
Is one of Australia’s premier golf courses and is located on Melbourne’s world famous Sandbelt. It is renowned for its large, firm & fast greens that are hand-mown right to the edge of the greenside bunkers. The Club is undertaking a major project to rebuild all putting surfaces.
